The difference between 209 findings and 102 violations matters. An adverse finding isn't automatically a sanctioned rule violation, and the study treated those as separate outcomes.
The 8.7% figure also needs careful wording because it covers athletes linked to a violation during that study window. It isn't the percentage of current UFC fighters using banned drugs, nor can it estimate undetected use.
