Carlos Ulberg knocks out Jiri Prochazka in first round to claim UFC 327 title

Carlos Ulberg captured the UFC light heavyweight championship with a first-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka at 3:45 of round one at UFC 327. In other main card action, Paulo Costa knocked out Azamat Murzakanov in the third round, Josh Emmett defeated Curtis Blaydes by unanimous decision in a Fight of the Night performance, Dominick Reyes edged Johnny Walker by split decision, and Cub Swanson stopped Nate Landwehr by first-round TKO. Performance of the Night bonuses went to Ulberg and Emmett. The preliminary card saw Tatiana Suarez submit Lupita Godinez, Mateusz Gamrot submit Esteban Ribovics, Kevin Holland defeat Randy Brown, and Aaron Pico outpoint Patricio Pitbull, while Vicente Luque submitted Kelvin Gastelum on the early prelims.
