Zaur Gadzhiev and/or his teammates physically confronted Eduard Vartanyan before Vartanyan's bout, striking him on the back of the head. Despite this pre-fight altercation, Gadzhiev will not be released from the promotion. Magomed Bibulatov stated that he had a strict conversation with Gadzhiev regarding the incident. The situation represents a disciplinary issue handled internally rather than with severe contractual consequences. The incident occurred in the backstage area prior to the scheduled fight.
