Renowned coach Ray Longo, who trains Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, has sharply criticized Jiri Prochazka's post-fight claims about showing mercy. Longo suggested the MMA community needs to address mental health issues, referencing Prochazka's unconventional practices like standing on his head and drinking his own urine. He stated that Prochazka was simply badly beaten and is making excuses rather than showing genuine compassion. Carlos Ulberg, who defeated Prochazka, separately dismissed the mercy narrative as "complete nonsense," attributing Prochazka's hesitation to fear rather than compassion. Ulberg also claimed Prochazka didn't approach him after the fight and accused him of playing to the audience with fabricated excuses. Additionally, the post notes that Donald Trump complimented Costa after his fight, telling him he's "too handsome to be a fighter."
