Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event features Russian fighters and UFC veterans

Jorge Masvidal's Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event Smith vs Sherman took place, featuring bare-knuckle mixed martial arts. Two Russian fighters competed: Nikolai Kovalenko (11-2), known from RCC and filming in Titans, and Denis Petrov (1-1). Kovalenko dominated early but exhausted and lost by disqualification, while Petrov secured a knockout victory after nearly being finished himself. Former UFC fighters Anthony Smith, Chase Sherman, Luis Pena, and Thiago Santos also competed, with Smith returning from retirement with a blacked-out arm tattoo to defeat Sherman. Pena submitted his opponent after an illegal groin strike, and Santos also won. Ray Cooper III was the only fighter to score a spectacular knockout. The reviewer found the event underwhelming overall, with mediocre production, mostly boring fights, and washed-up names.
