ACA president Magomed Bubulatov gave a candid interview about doping control in the league, stating that more fighters use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean. He revealed that fighters who accept bouts on short notice are usually clean because "they don't have time to use anything." Bubulatov explained that ACA gave fighters six months to cleanse their systems and allowed some therapeutic substances, then began testing. The league has data on which fighters use more or fewer banned substances. He noted that implementing proper doping control is expensive and would require collaboration among all Russian promotions, which he considers unlikely. Bubulatov is considering suspending violators for one year but has not finalized a policy.
