ACA President Bibulatov admits majority of fighters use banned substances

ACA President Magomed Bibulatov made candid admissions about performance-enhancing drug use in the promotion during an interview. He stated that more fighters use prohibited substances than compete clean, and that fighters accepting bouts on short notice are typically clean because "they didn't have time to use anything." Bibulatov acknowledged that implementing comprehensive drug testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate on anti-doping efforts, though he believes this is unlikely to happen. The league introduced testing after giving fighters six months to clear their systems and allowing certain therapeutic substances. While some clean results have been found, Bibulatov confirmed banned substance use remains widespread. The promotion is still deciding how to handle violators, with one-year suspensions being considered.
