ACA president Magomed Bibulatov candidly discussed doping control in the promotion during an interview. He stated that there are more fighters on banned substances than clean athletes in the league. Bibulatov noted that fighters taking bouts on short notice are typically clean because "they didn't have time to use anything." He explained that the promotion gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed certain permitted substances. The president acknowledged that doping testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should unite to address the issue, though he considers this unlikely. Bibulatov indicated the promotion is still deciding how to handle fighters who test positive, with one-year suspensions being considered.
