ACA president Magomed Magomedov gave a candid interview about doping control in the league, revealing that more fighters use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean. He stated that fighters taking bouts on short notice are usually clean because they do not have time to use substances. Magomedov explained that ACA initially implemented testing and gave fighters six months to clean their systems, while allowing some therapeutic medications. The organization has data on which fighters use more or fewer banned substances, but is uncertain how to address violators. He noted that comprehensive doping control is expensive and would require collaboration between all Russian promotions, which he considers highly unlikely.
