ACA president Magomed Bubulatov gave an honest assessment of drug testing in the promotion, revealing more fighters test positive for banned substances than test clean. He stated that fighters accepting bouts on short notice are typically clean because they "don't have time to use anything." Bubulatov explained the organization gave fighters six months to clean their systems and allowed certain approved supplements. He acknowledged that while the promotion has data on which fighters use more or fewer banned substances, deciding how to handle violators remains unclear. Bubulatov noted that comprehensive drug testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate, though he considers such cooperation unlikely.
