ACA president Magomed Bubulatov gave a candid interview admitting that more fighters in the league use banned substances than compete clean. He revealed that fighters who take bouts on short notice are usually clean because they "don't have time to take anything." Bubulatov stated the promotion gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed some permitted substances. He disclosed they have data on all fighters showing who uses more or fewer banned substances, and considered making these lists public. The president noted that comprehensive drug testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should unite to address the issue, though he doubts this will happen. Bubulatov said his initial plan was to suspend violators for one year but the promotion is still deciding how to proceed with enforcement.
