ACA president Magomed Bubulatov gave a candid interview about doping control in the promotion, revealing that more fighters use banned substances than compete clean. Bubulatov stated that fighters who accept bouts on short notice are typically the cleanest because "they don't have time to apply anything." The organization gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed certain therapeutic substances, but testing revealed widespread violations. Bubulatov expressed uncertainty about how to handle offenders and noted that comprehensive drug testing is expensive, suggesting Russian promotions should unite on the issue though he doubts this will happen. The ACA has considered publicly releasing lists of violators and implementing year-long suspensions, though no final decisions have been made.
