He acknowledged that this is a huge opportunity and that the UFC thought of him for the replacement slot. Baranievski stated that hot discussions are ongoing between his manager and Mick Maynard, and that both sides have made proposals. He emphasized that his coaches are also key decision-makers in the process. Notably, Baranievski already has a scheduled fight against Billy Elekana on June 6, and taking the replacement bout would be a very big fight for only his third UFC appearance.
