Vadim Nemkov has disclosed that kidney problems were the reason for his poor cardio performance in his first fight against Corey Anderson in 2022. Nemkov experienced severe fatigue after just one round in both sparring sessions and the actual bout, despite feeling normal during other training activities. After multiple medical consultations and tests, doctors identified the kidney issue and found an appropriate legal medication that resolved the problem. As part of his recovery, Nemkov has eliminated all sports supplements including creatine, protein, and BCAAs from his regimen, relying only on vitamins like omega-3, fish oil, magnesium, and vitamin B. He reports feeling no worse without the supplements as long as his nutrition and sleep are properly managed.
