Vadim Nemkov believes Alexander Ovechkin more recognizable in US than Khabib

Bellator champion Vadim Nemkov shared his opinion that NHL star Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than retired UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. In an interview, Nemkov explained that both are known, but Ovechkin has greater recognition because hockey is widely played by American children from a young age. He noted that all youth hockey players know who Ovechkin is, similar to Russia's hockey culture. Nemkov cited Ovechkin's recent breaking of Wayne Gretzky's record and his continued presence at the top of the sport, while Khabib no longer generates the same level of news coverage since retirement.
