Vadim Nemkov believes Alex Ovechkin more recognizable than Khabib in America

Bellator champion Vadim Nemkov shared his view in an interview with Ushatayka that Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nemkov reasoned that hockey is deeply ingrained in American youth culture, with many children knowing who Ovechkin is from playing the sport. He noted that Ovechkin's recent record-breaking achievements, including surpassing Wayne Gretzky's record, keep him constantly in the news and at the top of sports coverage. In contrast, Nemkov believes Khabib is less well-known now because he no longer competes and doesn't appear in the news as frequently. Nemkov emphasized that while both are recognized, Ovechkin's active career and ongoing records give him greater current visibility in the United States.
