Vadim Nemkov believes Alexander Ovechkin more recognizable than Khabib in America

Bellator fighter Vadim Nemkov stated in an interview that NHL star Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than retired UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nemkov explained that hockey is widely played by children in America, and anyone involved in the sport knows Ovechkin, especially after he broke Wayne Gretzky's record. He noted that Ovechkin continues to set records and remains in the news constantly. Meanwhile, Nemkov suggested Khabib is no longer as prominent or frequently covered in the news cycle. Nemkov acknowledged both are well-known but gave the edge to Ovechkin in terms of current American recognition.
