Vadim Nemkov says Alexander Ovechkin more recognizable than Khabib in America

Vadim Nemkov believes NHL star Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than Khabib Nurmagomedov. In an interview, Nemkov explained that hockey is widely played by children in the United States, and young players all know who Ovechkin is. He noted that Ovechkin gained additional fame after breaking Wayne Gretzky's record and continues to set records while remaining in the spotlight. By contrast, Nemkov suggested Khabib is no longer as well-known, doesn't generate as much buzz, and doesn't appear in news coverage as frequently. Nemkov acknowledged both athletes would be recognized, but gave the edge to Ovechkin in terms of current American recognition.
