EA Sports announces UFC 6 with Pereira and Holloway on covers

EA Sports has officially announced UFC 6, the next entry in its long-running MMA video game franchise, with two of the sport's biggest current names headlining the packaging. Light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will appear on the cover of the standard edition, while Max Holloway will front the Ultimate edition.

Pereira, 38, holds the light heavyweight title and carries a professional record of 13-4-0. The Brazilian, who trains out of Teixeira MMA and Fitness, stands six-foot-four with a 79-inch reach and lands significant strikes at a rate of 5.16 per minute while posting a striking accuracy of 62 percent — one of the sharpest marks in the sport. His selection as the face of the standard edition reflects his status as a reigning champion and one of MMA's most recognizable figures.

Holloway, 34, represents the Ultimate edition. The Hawaiian orthodox striker competes at lightweight and is currently ranked fourth in the division and ninth in the pound-for-pound standings, carrying a record of 27-9-0. Standing five-foot-eleven with a 69-inch reach, Holloway is among the most prolific volume strikers in the sport, landing 7.2 significant strikes per minute at 48 percent accuracy. He trains out of Gracie Technics.
