Pimblett, ranked sixth in the lightweight division, enters the fight carrying a 23-4 record. The 31-year-old from England trains out of Next Generation MMA Liverpool and has built a massive fan following on the back of an aggressive, submission-heavy style. Fighting out of an orthodox stance at five-foot-ten with a 73-inch reach, he lands 5.49 significant strikes per minute at 52 percent accuracy and averages 1.2 submission attempts per 15 minutes — numbers that reflect just how much danger he creates across all phases of a fight.

Saint Denis, known as "God of War," sits at ninth in the division with a 17-3 record. The 30-year-old southpaw stands five-foot-eleven and shares the same 73-inch reach as his opponent. Where he separates himself is on the ground: he averages an outstanding 4.19 takedowns per 15 minutes and 1.8 submission attempts over the same period, while also posting a striking accuracy of 58 percent and 5.62 significant strikes landed per minute. He is one of the more complete action fighters in the lightweight division.

Why it matters

  • Both men rank inside the lightweight top ten, meaning the winner earns a significant jump up the divisional ladder.
  • The contrasting stances — orthodox Pimblett versus southpaw Saint Denis — add a technical wrinkle to what figures to be a high-volume striking and grappling contest.
  • Saint Denis's elite takedown rate against Pimblett's active submission game sets up a compelling ground battle if the fight hits the mat.
