Avazbek Kholmirzaev wins ONE strawweight title with knockout of Yuya Wakamatsu

At ONE Samurai 1, Avazbek Kholmirzaev became the new ONE strawweight champion by knocking out Yuya Wakamatsu in round two at 4:53. The 25-year-old improved to 16-2 overall and 10-1 in ONE, displaying high-level striking with excellent timing, creativity, and a killer instinct. The event also featured Takeru Segawa stopping Thai boxing legend Rodtang Jitmuangnon by TKO in the fifth round, marking Rodtang's first stoppage loss in 13 years. Jonathan Haggerty defended his bantamweight kickboxing title against Yuki Yoza by unanimous decision.
