Avazbek Kholmirzaev becomes new ONE flyweight champion at ONE Samurai 1

At ONE Samurai 1, Avazbek Kholmirzaev (16-2, 10-1 ONE) captured the ONE flyweight MMA title by knocking out Yuya Wakamatsu in the second round at 4:53. The 25-year-old demonstrated high-level striking with excellent timing, creativity, and a killer instinct. In another significant result, Takeru Segawa handed Muay Thai and kickboxing legend Rodtang Jitmuangnon his first stoppage loss in 13 years, winning by fifth-round TKO at 2:22 to claim the interim ONE flyweight kickboxing title. The card also featured successful title defenses by Jonathan Haggerty in bantamweight kickboxing and Nadaka Yoshinari in Muay Thai.
