Carlos Prates has achieved the fastest accumulation of seven knockout victories in UFC history, accomplishing the feat in just eight fights. The previous fastest were heavyweights Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, who both needed nine fights. Only 62 fighters out of 2,710 in UFC's 33-year history have reached seven knockouts, representing just 2.29% of the roster. Prates also holds the record for fastest to 14 knockdowns, achieving it in 17 incomplete rounds with the highest average knockdown rate per 15 minutes in UFC history. He has earned seven Performance of the Night bonuses faster than anyone, needing only eight fights compared to the average of 15. Prates has consecutively knocked out two former UFC champions who had never been knocked out before, including one with leg kicks. The post positions this as one of the top three eight-fight runs in UFC history and suggests Prates represents a historic challenge for Islam Makhachev.
