An analysis of UFC divisional rankings reveals the light heavyweight division has the weakest competitive depth in terms of winning streaks. Among the top-15 ranked fighters at 205 pounds, not a single fighter is currently on a three-fight winning streak. More remarkably, only one fighter in the entire top-15 has any winning streak at all, and that is Paulo Costa, who earned one of those wins in the middleweight division. While the welterweight division is considered the deepest and most competitive currently, the light heavyweight division represents the opposite extreme. This statistical breakdown excludes champions from the analysis.
