Mateusz Gamrot says Poland is cleaner and safer than the United States

UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective on life in Poland versus the United States during an appearance on the Wojewódzki Kędzierski podcast. Gamrot stated that despite Poland's political issues, the country is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America. He cited examples like contactless payment terminals arriving in Poland years before they became standard in U.S. restaurants. Gamrot also described Americans as less hospitable, recalling attending barbecues where he had to bring his own food or risk going hungry, contrasting this with Polish culture where guests are always fed and cared for. He noted that while the U.S. offers career advantages for fighters, everyday life and problem-solving are easier at home in Poland, and even his children expressed wanting to return to Poland while vacationing in Florida.
