Polish UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared extensive thoughts comparing life in Poland versus the United States during the WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast. Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and surprisingly more modern in many everyday aspects than America. He cited examples like portable payment terminals arriving in US restaurants years after they were standard in Poland, and described American hospitality as superficial with surface-level interactions. Gamrot also noted that when his family brought their children to Florida beaches, the kids still preferred going to their grandmother's house in Kudowa, Poland. While acknowledging the USA offers advantages for sports careers, he emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better there, and that navigating daily life is easier at home where you know all the shortcuts.
