Mateusz Gamrot discussed his perspective on Poland versus the United States during an appearance on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast. The Polish fighter stated that the more he travels the world, the more he appreciates Poland, describing it as cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America. Gamrot cited examples including payment terminals that were standard in Poland a decade ago but only recently arrived in some U.S. restaurants, and noted that Americans are less hospitable, recalling being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. He also criticized superficial American interactions, noting that when he once truthfully answered "How are you?" by saying he had problems, the person didn't know how to respond. While acknowledging the U.S. has advantages for sports and career, Gamrot emphasized that life quality is not necessarily better there, and even his children preferred going home to Poland despite being on a Florida beach.
