Lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective on Poland compared to the United States during an appearance on the WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast. Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America. He cited examples such as portable payment terminals being introduced in US restaurants years after they were common in Poland. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality, recounting being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. He noted that while the US offers advantages for sports careers, life there isn't necessarily better, and even his children prefer being back home in Poland.
