Polish lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. He criticized American hospitality, noting experiences where he was invited to barbecues but would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. Gamrot also commented on superficial American social interactions and outdated payment technology compared to Poland. While acknowledging the US offers advantages for sports careers, he emphasized that life quality is not necessarily better there. He shared that even his children prefer returning to their grandmother in Poland despite being in Florida with palm trees and beaches.
