Mateusz Gamrot stated in a podcast interview that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The lightweight fighter cited examples like Poland having contactless payment terminals a decade before some American restaurants. He criticized what he sees as superficial social interactions in the U.S., recounting how Americans seemed unprepared when he gave an honest answer to "how are you?" Gamrot noted that while the U.S. offers career advantages for sports, daily life quality is not necessarily better. He shared that his children, despite being in Florida with beaches and palm trees, expressed wanting to return to their grandmother in Poland.
