Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The UFC lightweight described experiences where American restaurants only recently adopted portable payment terminals that Poland had implemented a decade earlier. He contrasted Polish hospitality, where guests are properly fed and welcomed, with American superficial politeness and instances where he had to bring his own food to barbecues. Gamrot acknowledged advantages for sports careers in the US but emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better. He noted that his children, despite being in Florida with beaches and palm trees, asked to return to their grandmother in Poland, and that logistical matters are easier to resolve at home where he knows the shortcuts.
