Mateusz Gamrot shared extensive comments comparing life in Poland favorably to the United States, stating Poland is cleaner, safer, and more hospitable. The Polish UFC lightweight noted that Americans are technologically behind in everyday matters, citing an example of payment terminals only recently arriving in U.S. restaurants while Poland had them a decade ago. Gamrot criticized American hospitality, recounting being invited to barbecues where he had to bring his own food or go hungry, contrasting this with Polish generosity. He also described American social interactions as superficial, with people not genuinely interested in responses to "how are you." While acknowledging the U.S. offers career advantages for athletes, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better there, noting even his children prefer returning to their grandmother in Poland despite Florida's beaches and palm trees.
