Polish lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. He cited examples like payment terminals in American restaurants being installed years after they became standard in Poland. Gamrot criticized American hospitality, recounting being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food, contrasting this with Polish generosity. He described American social interactions as superficial, noting that people are unprepared for honest responses to "How are you?" questions. While acknowledging advantages in the US for sports careers, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there. He mentioned his children preferring to visit their grandmother in Poland despite being at a beautiful Florida beach. Gamrot concluded that being home in Poland allows for faster problem-solving through familiar networks.
