UFC lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot stated on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. Gamrot cited examples like portable payment terminals arriving in Polish restaurants a decade before American establishments, and contrasted Polish hospitality with superficial American interactions. He recalled being invited to barbecues in the US where he would have gone hungry had he not brought his own food, unlike in Poland where guests are well-fed. Gamrot noted that when he told his children wanted to leave a Florida beach to visit their grandmother in Kudowa, it showed children perceive home differently. While acknowledging the US offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that life quality isn't necessarily better there, and that navigating daily tasks is faster and easier at home where you know all the shortcuts.
