Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. He cited examples of Poland having contactless payment terminals a decade before American restaurants. Gamrot criticized Americans as not genuinely hospitable, recounting being invited to barbecues twice where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food, contrasting this with Polish hospitality. He described American social interactions as superficial, limited to scripted exchanges. While acknowledging career advantages in the US for sports, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better there. He noted his children preferred returning to their grandmother in Poland despite being in Florida with beaches and palm trees, and that handling daily matters is more efficient at home where he knows shortcuts.
