Alexander Volkov shared his perspective on Victory Day and how he's raising his children abroad. He views May 9th more with sorrow than joy, being grateful for the victory but sad about the war itself. Volkov teaches his children a pacifist approach with the message "just so there's no war," reflecting Soviet-era values of peace. When asked to describe Moscow in three words five years after previously calling it "dirt, traffic, construction," Volkov changed his assessment completely. After visiting last summer, he now believes Moscow is the best city in the world for living, beauty, and overall quality, telling teammates in New Jersey that everything there is now excellent and worthy.
