Alexander Volkov defeats Waldo Cortes-Acosta by unanimous decision

Alexander Volkov earned a unanimous decision victory over Waldo Cortes-Acosta with scorecards of 30-27, 29-28, and 29-28. Some in the New Jersey crowd booed the decision, apparently favoring Acosta's aggressive callouts to fight in the center of the cage. Volkov appeared to win the first two rounds clearly. After the fight, Volkov entered the octagon with a Russian flag and told the crowd it was an honor to fight on May 9th, Victory Day in Russia. He then called for a title shot against Tom Aspinall, Ciryl Gane, or Alex Pereira, stating he deserves a championship opportunity.
