Francis Ngannou knocks out Renan Ferreira in first round at PFL event

Francis Ngannou defeated Renan Ferreira (referred to as "Lins" in the post) by knockout late in the first round. Netflix broadcast the fight but did not provide a clear replay of an uppercut that may have landed. Alternative phone footage from a different angle also left it unclear whether the uppercut connected cleanly. The decisive blow was a left hand that dropped Ferreira. Ferreira weighed in at only 100 kg, giving Ngannou a 16 kg weight advantage, the largest of his career. The fight lasted 4.5 minutes, with time consumed by grappling exchanges where Ferreira attempted takedowns and clinches to survive. Ngannou appeared in good form both visually and performance-wise, making his canceled bout with Vadim Nemkov all the more disappointing.
