Austen Lane has parted ways with the UFC, with the American heavyweight no longer appearing on the promotion's active roster as of late May 2026.
Lane, 38, compiled a professional record of 13 wins and 8 losses across his career, competing in the heavyweight division out of Bulldog Boxing. Standing six feet six inches tall with an 80-inch reach, the orthodox fighter presented a physically imposing presence inside the octagon. He averaged 2.7 significant strikes landed per minute at a 50 percent striking accuracy rate, while also contributing on the ground with 1.5 takedown attempts per 15 minutes.

Why it matters
- Lane's removal clears a roster spot in the heavyweight division, where the UFC has been actively managing its fighter pool
- At 38, Lane's future competitive plans remain unclear following his departure from the promotion
- His blend of size and striking output made him a credible gatekeeper-level presence at heavyweight during his time on the roster
