Matt Schnell has announced his retirement from MMA following his defeat at UFC Vegas 118, ending his career with a record of 17-11 overall and 7-9 with one no-contest in the UFC. The 36-year-old flyweight lost five of his last six fights, all by stoppage. Schnell is perhaps best remembered for his thrilling 2022 bout against Su Mudaerji, which was a leading Fight of the Year candidate.
