Manel Kape defeated Kyoji Horiguchi by knockout in the third round, claiming his fourth consecutive finish by KO in the UFC flyweight division and setting the all-time record for knockouts in the division with five. Horiguchi had controlled the first two rounds, staggering Kape with a jumping left hook and outworking him on the feet, but left himself exposed attempting to extend a combination and was caught cleanly by Kape's counter. The result sets up a compelling title-contender case for Kape against the likes of Joshua Van.
