Quick read
The UFC has introduced a new algorithmic ranking system that replaces the long-standing media panel vote. Under the new model, wins and the quality of opposition determine 95% of a fighter's ranking, early finishes provide a small bonus, and inactivity penalties begin after 18 months without a fight. The pound-for-pound rankings have been eliminated, and no manual adjustments or AI control of the system are permitted. Among the notable early changes, Pat Sabatini and Nathaniel Wood have entered the featherweight top ten, while Devin Clark dropped to 15th in light heavyweight under the new formula.
