Quick read
Anatoliy Malykhin, known as Shara Bullet, has disclosed that he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight against Jose Torres Barrio in Abu Dhabi. He spent roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree fever, developing sores and suffering hair loss after being bitten by a mosquito at an open grappling mat session. Despite arriving in Abu Dhabi in a severely weakened state, he managed to compete and win, only to end up on the operating table in the immediate aftermath of the bout. He spent two sleepless days following the surgery, unable to switch off physically or mentally after the ordeal.
