Johnny Walker has revealed his intention to transition to the heavyweight division, citing his sparring experience with Francis Ngannou as evidence he can compete at the higher weight class. Walker explained that despite being on a diet and having a 20 kg weight disadvantage, he was able to work comfortably with Ngannou during training sessions. The Brazilian fighter emphasized that he would feel much better at heavyweight because weight cutting negatively impacts his training camp, causing dizziness and low energy due to carbohydrate restriction. Walker believes moving up in weight would allow him to train more effectively and perform at his best without the constraints of extreme dieting.
