Johnny Walker has announced his intention to transition to the heavyweight division, citing training experience with Francis Ngannou as evidence of his readiness. Walker explained that despite a 20kg weight difference and being on a diet during their sparring sessions, he was able to work comfortably with the former heavyweight champion. He believes he would perform much better at heavyweight because the weight cut negatively impacts his training, causing dizziness and low energy due to insufficient carbohydrates. Walker expressed confidence that competing at his natural weight would allow him to train more effectively and showcase his full potential. The move would represent a significant strategic shift for the light heavyweight contender.
