Shara Bullet has detailed a harrowing lead-up to his fight against Barrio, revealing he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand after being bitten by a mosquito at an open grappling mat. He spent roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree fever, developing sores and experiencing hair loss, before flying to Abu Dhabi in a severely weakened state. Despite the ordeal, he won the fight, only to spend two sleepless days afterward before undergoing emergency surgery. Bullet said he then struggled to breathe for two weeks post-operation before fully recovering.
