Magomedrasul Gasanov was removed from his scheduled UFC fight against Abubakar Vagaev after a substance flagged by the UFC was found in his testing results. According to Ikram Aliskerov, a training partner of Gasanov, the fighter provided documentation of all compounds used over the past six months and returned a clean test, but the UFC required him to be re-tested due to the presence of a substance that lingers in the bloodstream for an extended period. Aliskerov compared the situation to the meldonium cases that affected multiple fighters in the past, arguing the substance is low-level and that its detection does not indicate intentional doping.
