Rafael Fiziev has revealed that he was unable to see properly out of his left eye after the first round of his UFC Baku bout, with everything tripling and quadrupling when he opened it. Faced with the prospect of competing through the impairment for up to five rounds, Fiziev decided to immediately unleash a spinning heel kick at the start of round two — a shot he admits he would never have thrown had his eye been healthy. The gamble paid off, as the kick landed flush and finished the fight.
