Prospect Abdul-Rahman Yakhyaev, known for quick finishes, has also shown his quality in longer fights. Against Nazhmudin Yusupov in ACA Young Eagles in June 2022, Yakhyaev recovered from a difficult first round to win by triangle choke in the second. In a five-round bout against Nikolai Kovalenko — a master of sport in judo — in January 2023, Yakhyaev survived a knockdown in the second round and used three rounds of dominant ground control to claim a unanimous decision victory.
