The UFC has parted ways with middleweight Michel "Demolidor" Pereira, cutting the Brazilian veteran from its roster as of July 14, 2026.

Pereira, 32, arrived in the UFC in 2019 and spent seven years on the roster, compiling a 10-6 promotional record across 16 appearances. His final outing ended in a loss to Shara Bullet, and the promotion has since decided not to renew his contract. His overall professional record now stands at 32-15-0. Trained out of Overcome Academy, the six-foot-one Orthodox striker carried a 73-inch reach and was known for high-volume, high-risk fighting. He landed 4.46 significant strikes per minute at 51 percent accuracy during his UFC tenure, while also contributing on the ground with 1.21 takedowns per 15 minutes and 0.7 submission attempts per 15 minutes.

Why it matters

  • Pereira held the number-15 ranking in the middleweight division at the time of his release, leaving a vacancy in the lower tier of the 185-pound rankings.
  • His departure removes one of the division's more unorthodox, entertaining stylists from the roster after seven years.
  • At 32 with a 32-15-0 record, Pereira remains a viable option for other promotions seeking established name value at middleweight.
